This belongs to a group of medicines called ‘selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors’ (SSRIs). Priligy may also be known as a ‘urological’ medicine.
Avoid alcohol while you are taking this medicine. The effects priligy tablets of alcohol, such as dizziness, drowsiness, slow reflexes or impaired judgement, may be increased if taken with PRILIGY. Follow the instructions on the carton on how to take care of your medicine properly. Keep your tablets in the pack until it is time to take them. If you take the tablets out of the pack they may not keep well.
Store it in a cool dry place below 25°C and away from moisture, heat or sunlight; for example, do not store it: in the bathroom or near a sink, or in the car or on window sills. Heat and dampness can destroy some medicines. Keep it where young children cannot reach it. A locked cupboard at least one-and-a-half metres above the ground is a good place to store medicines. If you no longer need to take this medicine or it is out of date, take it to any pharmacy for safe disposal.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date. If you do experience any side effects, most of them are minor and temporary. However, some side effects may need medical attention. See the information below and, if you need to, ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any further questions about side effects. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you notice anything else that may be making you feel unwell. Priligy increases the time it takes to ejaculate and can improve the control over the ejaculation.
This may reduce the frustration or worry about fast ejaculation. Priligy is used to treat premature ejaculation in adult men aged 18 to 64 years. Premature ejaculation is when a man ejaculates with little sexual stimulation and before the man wants. This can cause problems for the man and may cause problems in sexual relationships. If your consultation is approved, you will be offered treatment for you and the prescriber to jointly consider.
The recommended dose is one tablet (30mg), taken when you need it, about 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity. Do not take more than one tablet once every 24 hours due to increased risk of side effects and lack of additional benefit. Swallow the tablet whole to avoid a bitter taste, with at least one full glass of water. PRILIGY may be taken with or without food. Do not drink grapefruit juice within 24 hours prior to taking PRILIGY.
Grapefruit juice can increase the level of this medicine in your body. PRILIGY should be taken as needed, when sexual activity is anticipated. As PRILIGY is only taken when needed, it is not a problem if you forget to take it. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have taken more PRILIGY tablets than you should. Symptoms of overdose in PRILIGY are drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, rapid heartbeat, tremor, agitation and dizziness.
If you think that you have taken too much PRILIGY, you may need urgent medical attention. phone the Poisons Information Centre (by calling 13 11 26), or go to the Emergency Department at your nearest hospital. You should do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning. WARNING: PRILIGY can make you faint or make you feel dizzy or light-headed. To help lower the chance of this happening: Take PRILIGY with at least one full glass of water. However, the final decision always will be the prescriber's.
Safety and effectiveness in patients under 18 years or over 65 years have not been established. This medicine contains lactose (a type of sugar). If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including any medicines, vitamins or supplements that you buy without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop. Some medicines and PRILIGY may interfere with each other.

Be careful before you drive or use any machines or tools until you know how PRILIGY affects you. This medicine may cause dizziness, light-headedness, tiredness, drowsiness, fainting, having difficulty concentrating and blurred vision in some people.
